Train to Teach at SGC

Stepney Greencoat CE Primary School works in conjunction with Teaching London: LDBS SCITT to recruit and train teachers on the School Direct programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

What is School Direct?

School Direct is a school-based route into teaching. As a School Direct trainee training with our school and our ITT provider, Teaching London, you’ll learn alongside inspiring, passionate teachers with outstanding pedagogical knowledge.

You will be trained to become a successful, confident and effective teacher, and will be equipped to teach in a dynamic and vibrant primary school. You will undertake entirely ‘on the job’ teacher training, allowing you to gain the qualifications and practical skills required to become a teacher.

Entry Requirements

Teaching London is seeking high quality graduates who can demonstrate a commitment to teaching as a career. To find out more about our entry requirements, visit the Teaching London website.

How to Apply

Candidates should apply via gov.uk. Course codes are available here.

Applicants who are successful at interview will be offered a conditional place.

For more information visit the Teaching London: LDBS SCITT website.
